My name is Lisa Ellingford. I am a Certified Professional Midwife. I have an associate nursing degree and worked part time in labor and delivery for ten years. I am not a medical doctor. I have given birth to nine children, four hospital births followed by five homebirths. These experiences led me to a crossroad. I have chosen a path change from assisting laboring women in a hospital setting to assisting women with birth in the home setting.  
 
I believe birth is a natural, normal, physiological process. Women are empowered as they actively contribute to a healthy pregnancy and natural delivery through excellent nutrition, exercise, education and through trusting in their God given capabilities.
