Pamela Wright is our Licensed Midwife/
Certified Professional Midwife!

She has a wonderful husband, Brad, and is the mother of four beautiful daughters (ages 5, 6, 15 and 17) and one son, Buddy (age 7). Her first daughter was born in the hospital due to complications during a homebirth necessitating transfer from home during labor. Her second daughter was born at home. Their other children were adopted.

Pam began her midwifery academics and apprenticeship in the state of Montana in 1997. Direct-entry licensing requirements in Montana are more stringent than those here in Texas. She worked simultaneously with four different midwives during her apprenticeship. These included both direct-entry midwives and certified nurse midwives. During the course of Pam’s apprenticeship, she attended over 80 births and was exposed to many different styles of practicing.

Pam started her own practice in 2001. From 2001 to 2010 she enjoyed the opportunity to provide care to many moms and babies in NW Montana. She also had the opportunity to assist others wishing to pursue midwifery. Pam has been the supervisor of several apprentice midwives. Offering women the opportunity of choosing where to give birth and knowing their options is the joy of Pam’s life! Since starting her apprenticeship in 1997, she has delivered (or helped deliver) over 350 babies! She is looking forward to the future as she begins her new endeavor in Canton, TX, “Baby Bliss Birth, Education, & Women’s Center. In the distant future, Pam and her team have plans to offer Maternity services to young ladies who need assistance and direction in providing a stable life for themselves.

“Birth can be such a beautiful experience and I enjoy assisting families in making that beautiful safe experience a reality.” ~Pam Wright, CPM

In 2010 The Wright family moved to Terrell TX to be nearer a major medical center for their son. Upon getting settled in, Pam applied for and received her midwifery license from the State of Texas. She says she will continue to uphold Montana's stricter regulations for the health and safety of mom and baby, and is pursuing the opportunity to provide care and choices to women giving birth in her new “home state” of Texas.

Testimonial:

Pam has delivered two of my babies and both were wonderful experiences. I loved the one on one care I received from her. When I was at my appointments or when I had questions from home, she would always take time to spend with me. She made me feel special when I was pregnant and what I was doing, carrying a baby, was the most important job I had to do. I felt like Pam loved my babies as much as I did and continued that love even months after my they were born. Pam was always very thorough and would spend extra time if needed to make sure everything was o.k. She has a deep understanding about pregnancy and the developing fetus. When my last baby was breech and posterior facing, she gave me exercises to turn him around so I could have a successful delivery at home.
